The native son has delivered, and then some, on his promise to deliver a world-class artist lineup for his latest brainchild, the “Something In The Water” festival.
The artists for the three-day event slated April 26-28 at the Virginia Beach oceanfront were unveiled Sunday night, via a post to Pharrell’s 10.9 million Twitter followers. This morning at 9 a.m., the event website went live.
In addition to “Pharrell & Friends” sets on each day of the festival (which could go in any number of different interesting “partnership” directions), the inaugural event also boasts local products Missy Elliott and Pusha T, who will be showing off their old Hampton Roads stomping grounds to an impressive guest list – Janelle Monae, Travis Scott, Dave Matthews Band, Migos, Anderson .Paak, SZA and Diplo among them.
This is happening, people. Almost inarguably the biggest entertainment event in the history of Hampton Roads, tickets go on sale this Friday, for an event just seven weeks later.
