There are many things I love about the cities in Hampton Roads: Virginia Beach and the juxtaposition of beach and farm, Portsmouth for Olde Towne, Chesapeake for the family-friendly space and parks, Newport News for the history, Hampton for the water, and more. But, I am a Norfolk gal through and through. And THIS is the weekend to be in Norfolk. It is time for Harborfest, people. Let the ships sail in!

Friday and Saturday: It is time for the 42nd Annual Seawall Music Festival in Portsmouth. Friday, from 6-11pm, kick-off the evening with Tidewater Drive, Rajazz, and the Original Rhondels. See Saturday’s lineup here.
