One of the things I love so much about summer in the 757 is all of the opportunities for free live music and family-friendly festivals. This weekend doesn’t disappoint!
All Weekend Long
Saturday and Sunday: Prepare yourself for the Zombie apocalypse by attending the Southeastern Guns & Knives Show at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
Ongoing: Check out the live music lineup at the Oceanfront. And if you are still in the mood for fireworks, you can catch them on Sunday night.
5:30pm: Hear music from Lewis McGhehee during Live on the Lawn: Summer Concert Series at Taste Shore Drive.
5:30pm: Purchase your tickets for Grilled Out featuring Ladada, Berries, Broken Beaches, and more at Toast.
6pm: Looking for something a little different to do with your Friday this weekend? Try a Cemetery Tour in Cedar Grove, one of Norfolk’s Victorian Cemeteries. This event asks for donations only and it supports the Norfolk Society for Cemetery Conservation.
6-8pm: Enjoy free, live music from Buck Shot outside the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
6-9:30pm: What is better than a party? A summer beach party! Enjoy seafood, craft beers, children’s activities, and live music during the Ocean View Beach Party.
7-8:30pm: There is something spooky happening at the beach, and you can find out what during the Ghost Walk with the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum.
7-10pm: If you’re looking for not-so-local musical entertainment, you can see Dierks Bentley with Jon Pardi & Tenille Townes at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater.
