Friday and Saturday, laugh it up at either show during the Turn Up The Lights: Old School Variety Show starring The Pushers.
Saturday and Sunday gives us all a chance to grab a nice, locally made piece of glass art at the Valentine’s Day Studio Sale at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio.
4pm: I have a few things I could say about this event, but none would really be appropriate, so I’ll just stick to the facts: Tubby’s Tavern is hosting the First 2016 Sexual Chocolate Tapping in Virginia.
5pm: Head over to Work Release for happy hour and harpist Ali Calvert.
6:30pm: Did you know that when you drink beer, you think you get smarter??? Test this out at Big Ugly Brewing for Team Trivia Night.
8pm: Party with Valentino Kahn, Kayzo, and CARNAGE at the Norva.
10:30am: It’s a wee bit nippy out there for a swim, but if you’re up for a challenge, head to the Oceanfront for the Polar Plunge Festival.

5-8pm: Stop by the Mermaid Winery for Free Tasting Friday: Staff’s Picks.
5pm: Hear performances by Nate Sacks, The Special Guests and The Bergamot at Work Release during Free Friday.
6-10pm: Be a part of the Bacchus Wine & Food Festival at the Virginia Living Museum.
7pm: Put your best red on and head to the 3rd Annual Heartbeat Gala.
7:15-9:30pm: Enjoy an evening of jazz piano duets at Chandler Recital Hall at ODU during 2016 Her Melody Lingers On Concert & Silent Auction Benefit. You can grab tickets here.
10pm: Join the Push Comedy Theater for Double Feature: The Totally Improvised Movie.
8am: I know of a few things you can do to get beads, but I didn’t realize you could run for them. Earn yours in a less embarrassing way at the Mardi Gras Run4Beads 2016 in Smithfield.
10am-5pm: Put those Lego skills to the test at the Brick by Brick: LEGO Shipbuilding day at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum.
10-11:30am: If you have cats and you are not much of a builder, you’ll wanna join 757 Makerspace for the Makerspace Cadets: Design and Make Cat Condo. I assure you: cat condos are not as easy as they look. This class would be a great help.
12pm: Join Coelacanth Brewing for the Real Cask Ale Release.
12-1pm: Enjoy a free demo at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio featuring artists Thor and Jen Bueno. Bring a hammer and red cape.
12-10pm: It has been a big, ugly year, and it’s time to party. Join Big Ugly Brewing for their Rock ‘n’ Roll out the barrels! Big Ugly’s One Year Anniversary.
12-7pm: Head to Smartmouth Beer for Buckle Up Belgian Coffee Stout Bottle Release.
1-3pm: Be like Alice and head through the looking glass, or at least to The Looking Glass Artisan Boutique during the meet and greet with Tamara Seraph.
1-4pm: Taste beer for free at Uncork’d in Suffolk.
2pm: Check out the Moses Grandy and Moses Myers histories with the Chrysler Museum of Art.
7pm: The Instruments of Art Celebration & Auction will take place at Decorum Furniture. Grab your tickets ahead of time.
7pm: Head to Work Release for Catey Shaw and SEAMONSTER.
7-9pm: Join the grand opening for the Jennifer Bueno and Rachel Schmidt Exhibition at the Glass Wheel Studio.
7-9pm: Enjoy the sounds of Invencia Piano Duo at the lovely Heritage Museum and Gardens.
8pm: Party with MJ’s Tavern during their 4th Birthday Extravaganza.

2pm: The Children’s Theatre of Hampton Roads begins its month-long “Freedom Song.” The first show is this Sunday at the Barry Robinson Theater and Fine Arts Center. Tickets are just $5.
