This Saturday at The NorVa in downtown Norfolk, local acts Drop the Girl and RescueMe are co-headlining for one hell of a Pop-Punk experience.
Joining them are special guests Just Standing and Mandrake, who you read a little bit about on AltDaily.com last September.
There is also a great music video for their single “heaven.”
RescueMe has recently announced that this will be their final show as a band, but that they will continue to release new music.
“The love we have and the debt of gratitude that we owe to all of you is not able to be measured in any way,” said RescueMe in a statement.
Just Standing is a rock band from Chesapeake, VA heavily influenced by similar bands of the 90’s. They released their first professionally recorded EP, 2016 Ep, earlier this year. If you like what you hear, Just Standing will also be opening for Trapt at Shaka’s Live in Virginia Beach on September 6th.
Mandrake from Norfolk, VA has been making its way into the local underground music scene for almost a year. They finished up 2016 by releasing their first music video for their single, “Unbalanced,” and released their first EP, Moving On, in January of this year.
This Saturday, expect a high-energy show with a bunch of dudes helping you work out your frustrations and day-to-day angst.
The show is all ages and tickets are $10 presale, $12 the day of; doors open at 7PM and I look forward to seeing you all there!
