Setting down with a massive KERPLUNK — Green Day rocked the Ted Constant Convocation center last night for a solid three hours along with opening punkers: Against Me.
The crowd was full-on engaged with the boys as they winded through a nearly three hour set hitting favorites all throughout a three decade long playlist. At several points audience members were pulled from the floor to join the band onstage — including a young woman named “Camilla” who was given a chance to play with her heroes, and then allowed to keep the guitar they lent her afterwards! Lifelong memories were made last night, and the love could definitely be felt in the room.
This is obviously a band that cares deeply about their audience, and it shows. Check back later this week for an in-depth review of the experience from our writer, Shannon Jay!
