Norfolk citizens affected by Hurricane Matthew may be eligible to receive federal assistance.
The White House made the announcement today.
The Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) encourages Norfolk citizens to contact FEMA beginning tomorrow Thursday, November 3rd from 7:00 a.m.– 9:00 p.m. seven days a week at 1-800-621-FEMA(3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) or online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
City teams took state and federal representatives on a citywide tour to view more than 200 properties for a preliminary damage assessment. Overall, more than 400 damaged properties were reported 72 hours after the storm.
