Grammy winner Tiësto, an internationally celebrated DJ with almost 19 million followers on Facebook, shot his last video at Work | Release.
Check it out:
The director, Shomi Patwary, is from right here in Hampton Roads. Here’s what he had to say:
I chose to shoot in Norfolk and at W|R because of their long history of support in the arts. Anytime I can find an opportunity to shoot in the 757, I am all for it. There’s nothing more fun than working with the people you came up with since the beginning. I am stoked about this video because Tiesto is a big name in the EDM community and we are able to showcase 757 talent through such a huge outlet.
The profile of the Norfolk creative community is raising by the minute.
From the man behind the curtain at Work | Release, Charles Rasputin:
Tiesto is just one person in one genre of music with high visibility in the entertainment world who can help spread the vision of what our area has grown into. Enabling and empowering filmmakers in our area will only assure we get the eyes on our beautiful city and hard work that our community deserves.
This weekend is an ideal time to stop by W|R. They’re opening a new neon and light show called Writing Lightly. You can learn more about that here.
