April’s fix a flat clinic is part of Bike Norfolk’s bi-monthly meetup series. During the first half hour, there’s a meet and greet for people who ride for fun, transportation, recreation, or fitness. At 7:00 pm, there’s an hour of skills- and knowledge-sharing on all kinds of bicycling questions such as:
* What are the laws about bicycling?
* How do I plan my bike commute?
* What’s the safest way to ride a bike?
* Where are some great routes?
* Where can I find social group rides?
* How do I improve and get more skilled?
Later, we hang out and talk about what’s going on with bicycling advocacy in the area: What’s the City of Norfolk doing to improve bicycling? Are there any bicycling events in the area? What’s Bike Norfolk doing to encourage and educate bicyclists with skills classes, social rides, and events? You can find out all that, and more, by joining Bike Norfolk on April 21st at 6:30 pm. There’s even a Facebook event to add to your calender.
Remember: enjoy the ride!
