WHAT IT IS
The NEONing is a neighborhood unification project in Norfolk’s Arts District, aka The NEON (New Energy of Norfolk). Using a limited palette of bright, neon colors we are going block to block adding splashes of color, inspiration, and continuity. Projects will be everything from neon triangles on the sidewalk, geometric patterns on walls, and painted light posts.
WHERE YOU COME IN
We are looking for Hampton Roads artists to participate. There are a number of wall, sidewalk, and infrastructure opportunities for you to create murals, patterns, shadow-play, and whatever else you find inspirational—as long as it is in the selected color palette.
MATERIALS & APPROVALS
All materials will be provided. The NEONing committee will take care of getting owner or City approval for walls, and any needed permitting, if applicable.
