From February 14 through 28, residents of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News and Chesapeake will receive a 50% discount on regular admission to the Virginia Zoo.
“We want Hampton Roads locals to feel the Zoo is their own backyard,” said Greg Bockheim, Executive Director of the Virginia Zoo. “We offer so many opportunities to experience the animals and nature in ways that encourage learning and fun for all ages.”
Dozens of species are on display, including lions, bears, cheetahs, orangutans, colorful birds and more. Visitors can meet the giraffes eye-to-eye from Africa’s Okavango Delta boardwalk or say hello the animals in the ZooFarm.
Regular price for the zoo is $14.95 for adults, and $11.95 for children 2 to 11. Children under 2 are free, with military, first-responder and senior discounts available. Proof of residency is required upon admission.
