How and/or why would you say that Japanese art and Eastern theology affect and influence your work?
Eastern art and ideologies are simply wonderful contrasting schools of thought that dilate my abilities as a conduit. Japanese art is, in my opinion, sexy and clean with elegant and aggressive technique. Also, I am admittedly drawn to it because it isn’t puritanical like the male driven beast of western ideologies. And theology, theology is a brain-cage that I have not subscribed too in a very long time as it is one of the greatest constraints in our species’ ability to evolve in thought… as well as the biggest manipulation mechanisms in the history of histories. One of the beautiful aspects of human nature, I find, is the infinite beautiful stories that we culture to explain our origins and our ends. But allowing one or a few people to think for a population is unacceptable in my opinion.
