CHARGED will be the 3rd Annual NEON Exhibition at the newly reimagined Work Release Gallery at Commune NFK.
CHARGED is an exhibition of luminous tubing sculptures created by ten artists and curated by Clay McGlamory and Assistant Curator Cate Currier.
“Neon has a special way of captivating and entrancing the viewer whether it is a simple sign or a complex piece of fine art,” said the curators. “Words, lines, shapes, and images glowing with vibrant electricity are uniquely seductive and compelling. The selected artists represent a variety of approaches to luminous tubing sculpture.”
The exhibition runs from June 23rd to July 23rd, and is sponsored by the Rutter Family Art Foundation.
The exhibiting artists include James Akers, Cate Currier, Ken Daley, Ali Feeney, Michael Flechtner, Craig Kraft, Clay McGlamory, Kimberly McKinnis, Virginia Van Horn, and Zac Weinberg.
Come meet exhibiting artists at the opening reception. It’s free and open to the public on Friday June 23rd at 5:30PM with food, drinks and music. For more, here is the event on Facebook.
