You have no excuse to not have fun this weekend. Also, Saturday exploded.
Thursday through Saturday: Did you eat those cookies this week? Too many glasses (bottles) of beer or wine? Take it out on yourself at the RUFIT: The Virginia Beach Fitness Festival, three days of self-punishment set up just for us!
5pm: Time for Third Thursday at the Chrysler Museum of Art. Artist Hank Willis Thomas will be speaking at 6:30, and The Fuzz Band will make you wanna boogie after. At the Glass studio, you can experience glass art by Jes Fan and music by DJ TMOBYLE. Then, head to the Afterparty at Work Release with DJ HOODY and DEERPEOPLE (I assume this group wears antlers). It is also #LETTERSNFK opening weekend at Work Release.
5pm: Pucker up and head to The Birch to catch the tail end of the 4th Annual 43 Hours of Sour. This is on now and goes through Saturday.
5pm: Have a secret admirer? Alewerks does, and The Public House is showcasing it at the Release / Pint Night.
7pm through Sunday: Check out the lineup for the Norfolk Comedy Festival! There is no reason not to laugh it up this weekend.
10am-2:30pm: Fall is creeping up on us; plants versus zombies may become a reality. First? Plants. Head over to the Annual Fall Plant Sale at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens.
5:45pm: Outdoor lovers rejoice! Attend the grand opening of the new extension for the Elizabeth River Trail at the Mallory Country Club.
Friday 6-10pm and Saturday 12-10pm: Io non parlo Italiano, but I do Festa Italiana! You can too at Town Center in Virginia Beach.

Hey, hey … it’s the Sandbridge Hei Hei Stand Up Paddle Charity Race.
9am-2pm: Find some treasure in Virginia Beach at Treasures at Trashmore, an old-fashioned community yard sale.
9am-5pm: Go play at Worldwide Day of Play at the Children’s Museum of Virginia.

11am: Time for Sloga again (come on guys, help me make Sloga a thing!). Head to the Slover Library for a free multi-level yoga class.
11am-2pm: I have no doubt that these little cuties would actually scratch my eyes out if I tried to hug them like I’d like to, but we can celebrate them at Red Panda Day at the Virginia Zoo.
11am-4pm: More family fun can be had at the Harvest Festival at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in Williamsburg (watch out for plants and zombies).

12-9pm: The Silent Siren will be released at Reaver Beach Brewing Company, but no one will be able to hear her.
12-9pm: It is the 1st Annual O’Ctoberfest at O’Connor Brewing Company.
12-10pm: One of my favorite festivals that helps my husband remember I’m a hippie, I’ll definitely be at the ETC Festival at Town Point Park. Broom skirts aren’t included, but any ability to make your clothes out of recycled material will be appreciated at the event.
12-11pm: Apparently Young Veterans Brewing Company has a locker full of goats, and they plan to release them at Goat Locker Release Day. It may be a beer thing, though.

10pm: LIVE NUDE GRILLS at 80/20 Burger Bar. I don’t think you got that quite right. Read it again more slowly you dirty bird.
11:30pm-1:30am: After I’ve gone to bed, I hope some of you will head to the Parlor on Granby for the Audiostrobelight afterparty.
