S.W. Dawson is very much a man of the people.
That was clearly apparent as we talked over lunch one afternoon at the Five Points Community Farm Market. He has made it a priority to reach out to people in a variety of venues and talk to people about what’s important to them. His demeanor surprised me – he is real and sincere – no pomp and circumstance of an ego driven candidate.
Having been a co-founder of Norfolk United Facing Race, an organization that encouraged dialog among people of different races, I can see how Norfolk could definitely benefit from having a civil rights attorney as Commonwealth’s Attorney. He brings a common sense approach to his work and fairness is an important ingredient in the mix of his ideas.
S.W. Dawson would bring new ideas and a fresh approach to a system that is greatly in need of change. He strikes me as the type of person who would actively question how things are done and make real changes that would benefit all of Norfolk’s citizens as well as protect them.
He has taken the time to visit civic leagues, businesses, special interest groups and look deeply into the ways things have been done in the Commonwealth Attorney’s office in the past. I urge you to vote for S.W. Dawson and make sure that we are all have a seat at the table.
